the sweetest vacation and a feature

Hi, loves!

I’m back from our North & South Carolina vacation!

It was one our favorite vacations yet.

Just me and the littles cruising down the East Coast
to see my sister, niece, nephew, grandparents, aunts, cousins,
and a bunch of other NY to Carolina transplants.

I thought I’d share a bit of it with you.

Grey loved the ocean.
Pure happiness washed over me as I snapped photos of him giggling, splashing, and braving those waves!

He would have disappeared into the horizon if Grandpa
wasn’t there to keep him waist deep.

I just love his sweet, little butt!

My little mermaid, lover of sand and sea…

See that pushup, bottom middle photo?
I told you she was an intense child.

My Jaden.

10 years old.

The age where you’re always “bored” and even if you’re having the time of your life,
you keep it cool and might crack a smile…if you feel like it.

I dare say he lost cool.
And it was awesome to watch.

And I know what Santa is getting him for Christmas.

Bodyboards ought to be a dime a dozen in NY at Christmastime. ;)

These were taken inside Atalaya (Huntington Beach State Park, SC),
the Moorish-Style winter home and studio of Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington,
philanthropist and sculptor, respectively…

It’s a beautiful, picturesque place and I regret not taking the time to photograph
the architecture, gardens, and little details for you.
I was on Mission: Keep-them-focused-just-long-enough-for-me-and-grandma-to-take-portraits.
(The beach, right outside the windows, was calling to them.)

Here’s one more candid photo of Grey, taken on the last day.

I {love} this picture perfect moment.

The beach photos were edited with the Florabella Photoshop Action, “Sweet Sunshine” in the Luxe set.
(I also decreased the saturation a little.)
I used the “Ruby” action for the Atalaya portraits and “Velvet” for the last photo of Grey.

My sis and I trekked around a bunch of Goodwills in NC.
The Lake Norman folks get rid of some great stuff, especially.
I didn’t have room in my car to haul furniture finds home,
but I got a whole, stylish Fall/Winter wardrobe for $27,
including an $88 Max Azria top (with the tag still on it) for $3.99!

Love it when that happens.

I came home from vacation and went right to work on making clay tags.
This week, my tags are being featured and sold at the

I made some new collections for Fall/Winter too,
including pie and homemade cookie sets…freckled laundry pie set clay tags copyright 2013

If you’re visiting from the Antique Farm House, hello!
Have a look around, get comfy, and stay a while.

I’ll see you tomorrow with a little something twinkly for Edyn’s room.

Maybe I’ll brave a few thrifty outfit of the days for you with my NC finds!
I’ve never done one.
Do you like that sort of thing?

Just one more thing…
Thank you so much for entering my repurposed shirt organizer giveaway.
The winner is #14 Lisa!
