Hi, loves.

I intended to share my Luckett’s haul with you today,
but sweet news came along and my little Luckett’s finds
will just have to wait.

A couple of months ago, I was invited by Heather of Post Road Vintage
to be contributor to the summer issue of her lovely magazine, Homebound.

My {ah!} quickly turned to {gulp} though.

This would be my first time e.v.e.r. contributing to a magazine
and it wasn’t my first rodeo with Homebound either.
I’ve been a reader of Heather’s magazine for quite a while,
oohing and aahing over breathtaking (and colorful) photography
and home and garden inspiration.

“What should I write about, Heather?”

“Write about whatever brings you happiness.”

“Repurposing laundry?”

It’s so much easier when we just write about what we love!

That said, the summer issue of Homebound Magazine is here!…
…and I’m happy to be sprinkling a few pages with re-purposed laundry ideas,
including a tutorial for making chair back slipcovers from shirts.

My blogging friends, Courtney from French Country Cottage
and Melinda from Alabaster Rose Lifestyle are contributors, too.

If you know their blogs,
you know that their Homebound Magazine sprinkles are nothing short of dreamy.

In the summer issue, you’ll find 58 pages of inspiration about…
• raising chickens
• growing peonies
• French farmhouse decorating
• recipes
•summer tablescapes
(and a bunch more)

So sweet. I want some.
I’m afraid of anything with flappy wings (long story),
but fluffy little chicks just melt my heart.
Besides, they do more hopping than flapping.

Anyhow, I had so much fun rearranging my home for my little ‘photo shoots’.
I rarely stage photos around here
(unless kicking toys and a rotten apple core out of frame counts)
because I want you to see how I actually live.
I was having a good ol’ time though
while my poor husband was doing breathing exercises
as I tore up the house and asked for help moving furniture here, there and everywhere
only to move it back to it’s original spot minutes later.
(Not my fault that our family room gets the best light…and I love my new floors.)

Do you live with someone who freaks out with change, too?
(I hope Shane never loses his eyesight
or he’ll be up the creek without a paddle ’round here.)

I’m so grateful to Heather for including a little “fl” her magazine!

I LOVE that her husband and children help with the magazine, too.

Thank you again, Heather!

And thank YOU for reading my blog
despite a little more time between posts these days.

    Hi Jami,
I loved your contribution in Homebound!! Your photos were dreamy!! I can’t to get it in print so I can see it up close! You made me laugh about you moving your furniture and your husband. I change my furniture every other week, my husband has gotten use to it now after 20 years, but he use to think I was nuts. :)
Hope your doing well and have a wonderful week!

  5. Oh, yay! How wonderful for you. Can’t wait to read it. And I’m laughing about everything you said in regards to staging photos, kicking rotten apple cores aside, and husbandly distress at furniture rearranging. :)
