the greatest gift project

I believe that every person in our lives comes into our lives for a reason.

To teach us something.

Maybe for us to teach them something.

The reason might not always be obvious.
Sometimes it’s loud and clear and we thank God for placing them in our path.

That reminded me of,
“Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unaware.” - Hebrews 13:2

Beautiful Laura of Finding Home, along with a team of bloggers,
just launched a new project about that very thing.

Introducing…

The Greatest Gift Project is about slowing down and taking the time to let someone know
how his or her reason has made a difference in our life.

We all have at least one someone and I hope you’ll be a part of this project with us,
especially as we approach the holidays.

While pretty packages with fancy bows are lovely,
a collection of thoughtful words to a friend, a sister, a neighbor, an anonymous giver, etc.
truly is The Greatest Gift.

Today, Lucy of Craftberry Bush is sharing the very first letter to her dear friend, Leanne.

I hope you’ll join her too.

You don’t even need a blog.

Just a reason.

The Greatest Gift Project

Thank you.

I just mailed off a box of ruffled totes,
and now I’ll be baking and making a few things for Thanksgiving Day.
I love this most wonderful time of the year.

Thanksgiving blessings from my family to yours,
Jami

There was a time, in my youth, when all I can afford to give my friends and my parents were greetings cards for important occasions. Some of these were even DIY since I loved crafting my own then putting special messages that really came from the heart. Maybe it will be a good thing to return to this past method of giving gifts. All it will take is a few minutes to ponder how special the person is to deliver a meaningful message.

As a side note I am ‘trying ‘ to learn to pray for the annoying people in my life. ( We all have some of those.) God is working on Me , He even put them in my life .. working on that!!

thank you for taking a minute to write...
