This won’t be the first time nor the last that you hear a blogger talk about the
wonderful people and opportunities that come into our lives along the way.
This post is about an amazing woman that I have come to know and her new blog,

Kristen’s blog isn’t about her though.
It’s a blog she created with one reason alone:
“I hope to inspire women to stand taller,
to shine brighter and know wherever they are in life,
to kick it up and celebrate what makes you, YOU.”
In an email to me asking if I thought she was blogger material
(and to which I replied, “Yes!!! PLEASE!!!”), Kristen wrote,
“I don’t want to write about me. I don’t want to DIY. I love that myself, and is it inspiring? Yes. But I’d like to feature women who have been inspired to do something - like start a brand or a business, or a product or a service.”
Let me tell you,
I read her very first post, “The Suitcase”
and totally understood where she wants her blog to go.
And boy, can she write.
Her posts won’t always be full of fancy photography (which she’s a little worried about),
but the words MORE than make up for it.
So, meet Kristen (and whole bunch of her Boots & Pearls girls).
She’s sitting in the driver’s seat, where I think she belongs.
(Adorable!)
Kristen (along with two other lovely farm girls, Lisa & Carri) is owner of the awesome & successful business,
The Urban Farmhouse Market
in Louisville, Kentucky.
{She’s the one I make all of those ruffled totes for.}
Aside from knowing her stuff in every aspect of starting and running a creative business,
Kristen is just one of the woman that you want to tuck in life’s pocket.
The type of woman that makes you a little bit better with every email (and now post. Yeah!).
The type of woman that would start a blog for someone else.
(And she’s probably so embarrassed I wrote that. But it’s true.)
I hope you’ll hop over and see Kristen!
Her new blog is only three lovely posts deep, so it won’t take long to catch up and be inspired.
You’ll get to hop in that old truck from the very beginning.
That didn’t sound right.
I was trying to write a clever metaphor for the photo above!
Happy weekend,
Jami

Jami,
Thank you for sharing Boots & Pearls. I can not wait to head over and check it all out–all 3 posts so I will be in the know.

Hey girl! Thanks for sharing this blog! Love the combo name of “boots & pearls,” btw! I see you have been a busy bee over there! Still don’t know how you do it all….I can barely get my hair combed most days with all the craziness of family and school! lol Wishing you a lovely day and happy to hear that you are safe and sound after all the hoopla that has been happening with the weather over in the East Coast!
Hugs,
Jessie
