ruffled linen cabinet door organizer

I’ve mentioned before that I want my kitchen to be a real cook’s kitchen,
with stylish storage and functional pretty.

My kitchen is rather small so it’s been a bit of challenge
because I’m not one who likes a lot of stuff on my walls & countertops.

I have faith though. I’ve seen well-planned, tiny galleys
that were more functional than huge kitchens.

I call my kitchen “confused” because it’s not as small as a galley,
but not spacious enough to run with the big boys either.

I collect vintage silver (silver, silverplate, pewter, etc.) and use a lot of it.

Here’s a peek at the ruffled cabinet door organizer that I came up with to
store slash display some of the silver pieces that I use often.

The organizer measures the width and height of one of my lower cabinet doors…

…but you wouldn’t know that because it’s laying on my sofa! The ties still need to be attached,
so I’ll show you a finished & hung organizer
after my lower cabinets are painted lavender.I found this tiny baby fork at a thrift shop for 19 cents.

Isn’t it cute?

It probably isn’t vintage but sweet nevertheless.

I was a little on the fence about using white linen
with tiny hands and a messy cook around,
but like all of the white laundry around here, it’s washable.

Have a lovely Saturday night & Sunday.

Welcome to my little blog, new loves!
