(air your laundry friday) textile party

Happy Thursday.

Welcome to the party!

If you hopped over to the party and saw my old blogger blog, you didn’t see the party…sorry!
I created this post on the new site & while servers were still updating from the switch,

you were either seeing the new blog or the old blog…or sometimes both.
Everything should be done migrating now though.
For those of you that COULD see this, the linky tools went wonky in the process too.
THANK YOU for checking back! xo

Cup of coffee next to me,
laptop on the lap,
babies snug as a bug in a rug,
pretty laundry links in front of me…

…I love Thursday nights!

My box of Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint arrived today and it’s trying to sidetrack me.
On a typical ADD night, I’d drop my plans, mix up the perfect shade of teal and start painting some cabinets.

But, nothing comes between me and my laundry
(unless it’s under 3ft. tall and calls me, “mommy”).
; )

Let’s get on with the featured bunch from last week…

Fifi at About Blogging Time thread sketched this BEAUTIFUL Owl Pillow.
It’s a little work of art! I love everything about this process and have to try it.
Thread sketching just sounds cool, doesn’t it?

Jayne at Daisy Jayne shared her Fall Bunting Tutorial.
The shape of her pennants/flags reminds me of little flower petals.
She also introduced a little metal tape tool that will change your life forever…at least mine!
(I’ve found so many cool gadgets and gizmos through to this party.)

LOVE these Cornhusk and Fabric Pumpkins made by Kirstin at Craftiments.
Just when you think pumpkins couldn’t get any cuter, these show up to the party.

Be still my little bee lovin’ heart when I saw these stenciled Queen Bee Luncheon details
by Jennifer at Celebrating Everyday Life!

I tried to put my buttons in this post, but the code box isn’t showing up.
If you want to grab a party or a feature button, they are in my sidebar.

{thank you for dropping off your laundry!}

Have a lovely Friday!

I figured out how to single space my posts on the new WordPress blog,
but in the process, somehow shrunk my font size!
I’m sorry if you’re having to read this with a magnifying glass!

I was gone to the True Woman conference last week and didn’t link anything. So this week has been fun getting back to linking up!

  4. Hi Jami, Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for featuring my Queen Bee luncheon! I’m SO honored to be included!! Welcome to WordPress by the way – I’ve loved using it and am sure you will too!! The new site looks wonderful! Congrats on the transition – I know it’s a lot of work and at times a headache… so I’m sure you’re glad it’s over!! Hooray!! Happy Friday! Hugs, Jennifer

  5. Tanya says:

Thank you so much for hosting Jami! I don’t do a ton of sewing, but love fabric as a medium. I hope my Chevron Rug qualifies as a textile :)

    Hugs, Tanya

    Hi Jami,
I was reading your post on Miss Mustard Seeds sight…hopped on over to your blog and Etsy store…and at the top of your store noticed that you are from Elmira. I grew up just across the border in Wellsboro, PA…we went to Elmira/Corning all the time, as that was the only mall in for.ever. :) My parents still live in Wellsboro, we still go to Elmira all the time. I live outside of Atlanta now, so only get home in the summers…but that is still home. Do you sell locally anywhere? There are some adorable shops in Wellsboro that your stuff would fit right in. Love your story on how you got started. I admire your willingness to take the risks!! Would love to look you up sometime when Im in the area :) Bethanie

    • Jami says:

Hi Bethanie – Thank you for hopping over & taking a minute to write! I can’t believe I met someone who knows where Elmira is, let alone was practically my neighbor! I do not sell locally yet. I’ve thought about going into a shop or two on consignment. There’s a new place on market street in Corning. Oldies But Goodies has a tiny back room where they sell their close-outs, etc…I’ve even thought about begging Mike to rent that space! ;) There was also little vacant shop (with potential) on the corner of Hoffman & Water street that I wanted to rent but I noticed a few bullet holes about a month ago, so that puts a damper on things! Yes, the next time you’re in the area, let’s try to get together. Keep in touch! xo Jami

  7. love the new WP look! :) have any tips you could send me about the move process. I think I might want to do it sooner than later but I’m really afraid about the affordability factor. :/
