monkey pillow and gratitude

I have been up to my neck in pink and chocolate for the last two days.
Last night, my sister and I made a bunch of decorations for the baby shower.
The night before, I worked on a monkey pillow for Sophie’s crib bedding.
{My cousin wanted a monkey theme.}
I played with some frills and felt and came up with this little primate…
Is it a little too Monkey Shines?
The last thing I want to do is frighten a newborn.
By the way, I watched that frightful movie when I was like, seven.
Yeah. I still sleep with the light on.
I ran out of pink thread with only a mere 3 inches left to sew on the blanket {grumble!}
so I’ll share it another day.
My sis is coming over tonight to finish up decorations
and I’ll be working on a crib skirt and rail guard.
Before I return to pink and chocolate,
I wanted to thank a couple of bloggers for being so sweet.

Michelle of

was asked by the Editor in Chief of Stampington, Jenny Doh,
to be a guest curator for her website, CRESCENDOh.

Isn’t that awesome?

Michelle is a wonderful, Frenchy old soul and artist,
and as guest curator this week,
she is showcasing some of her favorite artists and projects.

She was thoughtful enough to include one of my projects for Saturday
{I still can’t believe it. Thank you, Michelle.}
but I wanted to let you know now so that you can hop over and
read more about Michelle and see the artists that she is featuring this week
like my friends, Dore at Burlap Luxe and Mamie Jane.

All of your comments, tips and suggestions were appreciated.
 {Thank you!}

I’ve decided to stick with a slightly modified version of my original plan.
Happy Wednesday.
