Hi, lovelies.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I want you all to know how thankful I am for you!
This blog and your sweet encouragement is such a bright light in my world.
Thank you.
I also want to thank those of you that purchased tags from my shop over the months.
Aside from a few small splurges for myself, I have been saving.
And, because of you,
I just informed my hardworking husband that I don't need one red cent
for Christmas gifts this year.
A feeling of independence for me and a very sweet surprise for him.
(And now he knows why I spent all those hours at the kitchen counter, rolling tags.)
Speaking of,
I just finished the last batch of pre-Thanksgiving tag orders.
I'll package and box them tomorrow,
and then it's time to decorate for Christmas.
We cut our tree tonight
and I'm sitting her enjoying the lovely scent of a Douglas Fir.
Ooh!
I want to share these little pretties that I found last week on Amazon.
I can't decide if I want a lavender tree this year
or an old-fashioned, colorful, tinsel-covered tree
like I had when I was a child...

What a nice feeling - independence. Good for you. And I love the vintage tree photograph. Reminds me of when I was a little girl. I used to love putting up the tinsel.
tree??? finished!!?!? GIRL- its not even started! perhaps next week or the week after. when the man can tear himself away from work long enough to get one...
speaking of the hard working man- congrats on your Christmas $$$ stash!! Thats freaking AWESOME!
also- the purple ornaments are GORGEOUS, but i bet the men in your life would appreciate a good ol' fashioned colorful tree more ;)
I love those lavender ornaments...would like to see them on a tree, hint, hint.
Ours is up and decorated with all our favorite ornaments. I love an old fashion too. I'm always wanting to do an all white tree but love the colors so much! Have fun, Di
Is there a such thing as Lavender Nostalgia?
I know what ever you decide, it will be a perfect reflection of your family's spirit!
On the second Sunday in December we caravan to a tree farm in the valley beneath Mt Rainier. We cut a tree, choose a wreath, and buy the most fragrant cedar garland. (I leave the tree up until January 2nd)~that's why we wait.
Jami, congrats on your success! Happy well deserved vacation!

Nice!!
congratulations

Those lavender ornaments are so pretty. I think I will do a lavender tree someday...when my son's move out! Otherwise they would definetly grumble. I have done the same...in the 5 mos that my etsy shop has been open I have been able to save enough to christmas shop without using any of my hardworking hubby's money! I have been a stay at home mom/home educator for 22 yrs so it feels nice to have earned my own. ox
Hey Jami,
That Christmas tree with the old fashioned tinsel brought so many happy memories.
Growing up in the 60' & 70's, everyone used that style of tinsel. My Mom was such a stickler about how it was placed on our tree. It had to go on just so...one piece at a time. My Dad would toss handfuls onto the tree just to annoy her...that always made us all laugh (all eleven of us!).
I hope to get a tree soon and get my house decorated before Dec 24th ;->

Hey Jami! I am so happy that your clay tags have been so successful for you! :) They truly are incredibly beautiful! The photo of the vintage tree brings back alot of memories for me, too. It looks just like the ones I grew up with. :)

Hi Jami,
Oh my goodness, I LOVE your lavender ornaments!!!! Now I'm thinking I need lavender! :)
I can't wait to see your tree.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well!
Isn't it wonderful to make money from something that you made yourself?!! I always love when I sell my jewelry so I can contribute to my family!
I hope you have a lovely week Jami.
Sincerely,
Melinda
Congratulations on all the orders this year, Jami! You deserve all the success that finds you. My clay tags arrived just after Thanksgiving and they are beautiful. Thank you for making them with such love and care! (I'll leave feedback on Etsy in a moment.) Enjoy your break in working and I vote for a lavender-themed Christmas tree. :)
Take care,
Erin
