A short while back, I was the lucky winner of a $100 American Express gift card
after I uploaded some spray paint projects to the Krylon Project Vault.
To my surprise, they were drawing random weekly winners and I was one of them!
(By the way, I just checked and the drawing ends on Oct. 28,
so if you have some Krylon spray paint projects to upload, you might win too.)
I had an unexpected Ben Franklin on my hands
so I decided to treat myself to a guilt-free set of Jeanne d’Arc Living zinc trays
that I’ve had my eye on at my friend Ruth’s shop, The Beautiful Life.
These photos are of only one of the huge trays,
but I’ll be sharing the other divided tray when I share my kitchen makeover.
This one sits atop a TV armoire that I moved into the living room.
As if the tray wasn’t awesome enough, I added a white aluminum Jeanne d’Arc Living tag.
And here’s what the tray looks like after yesterday’s impromptu
Halloween slash birthday party for 35 guests…
My niece was born on Halloween day so each year my youngest sister, Nikki
hosts a party at my other sister, Toni’s home.
The night before the party, Toni was in the ER with my other niece (Confused yet?!)
who has a pretty bad case of pneumonia.
So, to ease her stress, I offered to host the party at my place.
And, that meant some serious scrambling around to clean and spook out my house yesterday morning!
I don’t usually decorate for Halloween so a bag of 99 cent spiderwebs was my best friend.
Here’s my shabby, spooky mantel…
Speaking of mantel, I’ll have some living room photos to share soon.
If you look closely, you’ll see an 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of white paper behind the window.
It’s hiding the mount for my TV which I need to remove and then spackle and paint the holes.
When that’s done, along with a few other projects for my walls,
I’ll properly share my rearranged living room with you.
I had better get on that. I think I switched everything around at least a month ago.
Happy Sunday!
