Nursery Progress & Stenciling Video Tutorial

Hi, sweets.

As a resident blogger for

I received paint from Dutch Boy, Purdy brushes, a Cutting Edge 'Polka Dot' stencil,
and Design Divas wall vinyl.

I chose to use the sponsor products for the twins' room re-do.

(Although I receive sponsor products to use as a resident blogger for the DIY Club,
my thoughts or opinions are always honest and my own.)

Here's what Edyn's half currently looks like, which is the side I'm working on at the moment.
(Grey's is actually the same, minus the handmade canopy...and a letter G.)
Yes. That is purple crayon that Grey is scrubbing off with a Magic Eraser.
If you make the mess, you {at least help} clean it up. 23 month olds included.
[Insert British nanny voice.]

Because my twins are boy and girl and will be sharing a room until age five or six,
I am splitting the room down the middle.

Edyn's half will be pink, white, and shabby chic and Grey's half will be soft gray, black, and white.
I'll tie the room together, but there will definitely be a feminine & masculine division.

I'm sharing my progress & a Stenciling Tutorial video over at The DIY Club.
Click {here} to head over.

Note: The color on the walls and video at the DIY Club is "Sugar Beet"
but I've started repainting the room with "Rosehips White."
(Surprised?)
Rosehips is softer and {rosier} than the peachier, brighter Sugar Beet
and will work better with gray.
I love it.

I'll share the new paint job and finished stenciling soon.

If you've been working a project or two,
tomorrow kicks off the September DIY Club monthly contest.

  1. LOL on the little one having to clean up after himself. I remember being much older and having to find a way to get red ink (!) off my mother's kitchen cabinets. Oh how I panicked, but I did it and I learned the lesson.

  2. Pretty color paint for your walls...you've got quite an eye for appealing colors....I'm anxious to see the room finished...Mel's Designs from the Cabin...Mel

  3. Love the colors...can't wait to see how it turns out!!

  4. I have adorable little scribblings on and old table...thankfully the underside! Nice to meet you!
