Thinkin’ I might have to make some for my Etsy shop.
and my kitchen nook HERE (with a link to the tutorial).
It’s the “Anna Damask” stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils HERE

Don’t neglect your hallway.
Treat it like any other space in your home.
(Just don’t go knocking huge holes in walls to make it pretty!)
I notice my hallway now
and it’s another functional space in my home.
I have a laundry sorting station
and the two chairs serve as “time out” spots for little fannies that break the rules.
The chalkboard door comes in handy for notes, grocery lists, and reminders.
(I added a pretty quote for the picture though, albeit crooked.)
Sure makes the groggy trips to the nursery in the mornings more enjoyable!
Thanks for reading.
I also want to thank Stephanie at Cre8tive Designs for being my sounding board on this makeover,
and Layla at The Lettered Cottage for twitter help with taking photos of my low light hallway.
Thank you!

it is beautiful!
Fresh and bright and just enough! The contrast with the wood floor is tremendous! Well done.
Great re-do! I really love the soft, crisp and clean look.
Gorgeous!
Wow! It’s fabulous and so inspiring for me. I’m presently working on a hallway too.
Jami, you have done a fabulous job! I would be tempted to sit in that chair on the left and just admire the hallway all day! Can’t wait for the tutorials:)
Beautiful, Jami! I love the whole look! Did I miss the mention about the pattern you used on the wall? Is that a stencil?
That is beautiful! So clean and fresh looking. :) Love the chalkboard door!
I love it! Expecially the time out chairs. We have one here also and although most of my children are to big for it, they all have memories associated with the chair and won’t let me part with it! I find that funny since they sat it in when naughty. :)
Wow, this is my favorite thing you have done so far!! I am in love with this hall! I know how hard it is to make a long narrow hallway work..mine is a work in progress as we speak. What you did was brilliant with the hooks and the bags, the awesome stencilled wall, the details all work together like a beautiful symphony. Nicely done!
I really love this hallway makeover! My family & I just moved into a house that needs some TLC – in the process in making it “functional” – and your ideas are great! I’m a new blogger and have added you to my blog roll list! Have a wonderful day!
XO’s,
Jessie

Did you already do a tutorial on the stenciled wall? Can’t seem to find it, but would love to try this at home. Lovely.
Absolutely gorgeous!! I’m now inspired to work on my neglected little hallway!!
I love it all! What a glorious view when walking down your hall. Everything is cute, cohesive and better yet – thrifty! Where did you find the Shabby Chic fabric?
Thanks for sharing and inspiring us to spruce up our neglected spaces.

I am lovin’ every inch and detail of it, Jami!
So pretty and the wall color is so soothing. Your stenciled pattern is elegant and yet fits the white and ruffled space perfectly.
I would love to sit on a time out chair there and take it all in!
(Ain’t misbehavin’ tho!!!)

Oh Jami….this was definitely worth waiting for…..absolutely, pure serene loveliness!!!!!!!!!!!
What a beautiful spot you have achieved. I have enjoyed looking around. Cheers Kerry
That chair on left which one is painted with Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint is exquisite. And the chair on the right, which is an antique child’s folding chair is best to keep less space, I have same it in black color.

Love your makeover. Amazing how much brighter your hallway is. I also love your chalkboard door. I’ve been wanting to do that in my kitchen, but haven’t had time. Now that I’ve seen yours, I know what it will look like and it motivates me to get going on mine. Love it all!!!

Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I love the chalkboard paint on your door. My whole house is full of those allow ugly doors and I have always hated them. What a little paint and some trim can do. Thanks for the idea.
What a breath-taking space it is now! I love what a serene and soft impression this room gives. But then when you notice the little details–the stenciled wall, the laundry bags {love how the darks bag has a dark handle!}, that *gorgeous* RA linen–they add more depth and purpose to the hall. This is very Freckled Laundry! :)
