A Shabby Thanks

Hi, sweetie pies.
I just wanted to take a moment to
thank my lovely February Vintage Market shoppes…
Most have been in the Market from the beginning…aw!

And thank you for reading this lil’ blog in February, too!

Now, remember in yesterday’s post
when I said that finishing three rooms in 5 weeks
was no longer optional?
Well, that’s because Andy invited me to join the
I can.not. believe that my soon-to-be-shabby-cottage
(a.k.a. 1964 Ranch)
is going to be among 19 other {beautiful} bloggers
just to name a few.
(Just click the button above to see who else is in the parade!)
There’s no pressure here.
{insert sarcasm font}
Actually, it’s going to be so much fun
and I’m absolutely flattered from top to bottom.
When it’s all finished, I hope to show you that you can make any space lovely.

Thank you so much, Andy.
What so shabby about this post, you ask?
My new market bag.

I stumbled upon kimmyscottage

while searching for Rachel Ashwell linen on Etsy.

Had to have it.
Rarely do I buy anything for me; it’s usually for my home,
but I’ve been working pretty hard these days and justified a little treat.
At less than $25, I would have been crazy not to.
It’s made with a Rachel Ashwell shabby, pale aqua, floral linen
that has a beautiful vintage linen texture.
I love a great texture when it comes to laundry.

It is SO well made too.

Thank you, Debi!
And, although I bought it for me,
I’ve already considered rolling up towels in it
and hanging it from a hook in our bathroom.
{shaking my head}
Just so you know, my purchases are always my honest opinion,
and I’m not compensated or discounted in any way for sharing them with you,
unless I tell you otherwise. Even then, I’d still be honest with you.
I love my fellow Etsy artisans and just like to surprise them with a little blog love. :)
On another note,
the Vintage Chic Style series will resume tomorrow
and I’ll be introducing a lovely woman
who {quite literally} wrote the book on Vintage Chic style.

Thank you for reading!
Do you shop for you, or your home, or find balance with both?

Congratulations on all of your features, Jami! I love your new bag. Very pretty and feminine! I am glad you treated yourself to a little something. I think we have to do that every so often. I tend to buy for the house but will sneek a little something in for me at times. I think it’s important and fun to do!

    Hi Jamie

Oh wow, your new bag look gorgeous! Maybe your should even purchase another one for your bathroom? ;-)

Well, I guess most of the things I shop are for my creative space such as supplies etc…. and most of the things I create are for sale on arts & crafts markets. It’s so much fun! ;-)

    Have a great Thursday!
    Warm wishes from Germany

  10. Congrats!! Glad you treated yourself with that pretty new bag ~ you deserve it!!

  11. Jami,

Love your latest purchase! I would probably be using it exactly as you are. :/ So much for buying things for ourselves! I have no problems purchasing things for others or for the house or for the birds (hehehe). By the way, you can now add MOUSE cake to the description on etsy. Don’t ask.
Congrats on this opportunity! So excited to watch your progress.

    Your Friend,

  13. What a beautiful gift for your soul! Linen is my favorite cloth for the home (and summertime apparel). I could see such a treat in my own collection of bags. Lovely.
