Pretty Things

I have a new, GORGEOUS shop
in the Vintage Market.
 Melinda’s designs are breathtaking.
“All of my designs are hand crafted using inspirational objet d’art from past and present. I use vintage elements in many of my designs and any new elements I use have a certain nostalgic inspired quality to them. My soldered pendants are also designed with vintage flair, so my pieces reflect the beautiful imperfections that you would find in a time worn piece from another era. My designs are reminiscent of well loved pieces from long ago and I know that they will be a cherished addition to your jewelry collection.”
One of my favorites
is this “Inspire You” necklace.
I also love this
“French Paper Rose” piece.
Melinda also has a blog
where she shares her designs
and a beautiful home.
If you love vintage,
you’ll want to add this one
to your blog roll.
Here’s a sneak…
You will drool over her linen collection.
while we’re on the subject of pretty…

I love a pretty package.
The attention to little details
when wrapping something
is just another way
for me to show how much I care.

Becky feels the same way.
She calls it, “Beckyizing” a package.
She recently ordered two pair
of my baby shoes
and was thoughtful enough
to send along some photos
of how she wrapped them.

I am so grateful to her
for taking a moment of her day
to send this along to me,
along with the sweetest compliments
on my shoes.

Isn’t this packaging BEAUTIFUL?!
Talk about attention to detail.
She hand stamped the wrapping,
used an old dress pattern to wrap
the smaller gift,
and added the sweetest touches
of rick rack trim,
sheet music,
a rosette,
that darling bear tag…
I love it.
Easily one of the prettiest packages
that I’ve ever seen.
In the larger package,
she wrapped a pair of shoes
that she framed for her
friend’s expected daughter, Ember.
(Such a beautiful name.)
Very creative.
(She ordered them in a bigger size
and didn’t want them to just sit
around until Ember grew into them.)
Becky isn’t a blogger
but is a writer by trade
and considered it.
I think she should.
Don’t you?
If you’re reading,
Thank you so much for sharing these photos, Becky.

  1. Love how those little shoes were made even more perfect! I have been to Alabaster Rose recently and I do love her things, so beautiful and creative…Becky should start a blog!

  2. Hi Jami!! What a sweet post. I will definitely check out Alabaster. That jewelry is SO me! Your lavender mono’s are precious. What a great idea. Glad you liked Taylor’s vanity. I used a Glidden color (Lavender Haze), but had it mixed in the Valspar paint/primer mix in satin. So I think they ultimately did a color match on the computer, but it looked true to the swatch. I am very pleased with how it turned out.

    Ciao for now!!

  3. HI Jami,

  14. Hey apple pie ;-),

Over Christmas, I had every intention of wrapping each and every present beautifully….but by the time it came to the four hundredth present (at least that’s what it felt like!), I was all over the place!

I think I need Becky to come and be my Santa elf next Christmas!!

  15. You are inspiring me with all of these lovely photos!
