Peeking in Perfectly Imperfect’s Windows

It’s been a little while since a
 Wednesday Window Peeking Post
and I’m so happy to share a little Shaunna
for my 4th peek.
If you haven’t seen her blog, Perfectly Imperfect,
you should.

Shaunna’s a furniture refinishing Einstein
and her home is simply b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l.

She recently revealed her
and I when I saw it,
I just knew I had to share it.
Who has a Writing Room Bath anyway?
I have one, ordinary, no-writing-going-on-in-here bath.
Shaunna gets a Writing Room Bath.
No fair, man.
 That tub,
those floors,
that tub faucet,
that ceiling.
Oh my, my, my.
(And I know you all see a little sparkle up top…
…coming from a lovely crystal chandie like this one.)
This daybed, that she made from old doors is in there.
It. is. in. her. bath.
It. is. in. her. writing. room. bath.
So pretty and romantic!

Shaunna refinished this book and soap
holder with a can of oil-rubbed bronze.

I’m usually a zinc, pewter, silver, polished nickel
girl but I see some oil-rubbed bronze
going on around here.
Wait. I have it my bath.
I see some more going on around here then.
I just love the way the sun hits her daybed in this shot.
And the crystal or glass doorknob in the foreground
makes such a darling accent, no?
Clever girl.
Her walls are the most refreshing shade of blue.
 (FYI: It’s Benjamin Moore’s Iceberg.)
I’m “going white”
(I actually went there years ago with everything except my walls and one sofa…
and a carpet that USED to be white)
with accents of french gray,
but seeing a room like this makes
me want to reconsider my blue.
It is perfect and bright.

You girls, including Shaunna,
do the same thing with
your “Robin’s Egg Blues” and aquas too.
Stop it.
At the end of a good day of blog hoppin’,
I’m so confused!
I’m sticking to my french gray.
If you haven’t already stopped reading my blog
and took off over to Shaunna’s,
  stop by Perfectly Imperfect
for some more detailed photos of her
Writing Room Bath
and her many other lovely projects.
Thanks for letting us peek in your windows, Shaunna!
If any of you would like me to peek in your windows
some Wednesday, just email me!

I would like to feature spaces that are white, bright, light, airy, natural
or vintage loving.

  2. OooooOO, so simple fabulous. It’s something about that oil rubbed bronze look that I love. It looks so rich.

  3. { L } says:

Wow, you’re right. This is simply gorgeous, breathtaking with how peaceful it all looks.

  4. Jenni says:

That IS an amazing bathroom! It is so beautiful AND very unique! I know what you mean about seeing other colors and styles, and getting confused! Seeing what other bloggers do gives you the opportunity to see decorating techniques/objects in a new light, and there are so many wonderful ideas out there! :)

I hope you have a good night!

  5. So, so pretty!! Thanks for sharing!!!

  6. Catherine says:

(LOL you crack me up!! )

It is INSANELY gorgeous!! Considering my idea of perfect bliss is to sit in a boring (beige, going white very soon!) bath without endless interuptions from the wee-ones…I can’t even imagine the pure bliss this room would bring (minus wee-ones of course! Sigh!!

  7. Bonnie says:

wow… I’d feel like a queen in that room! Thanks for sharing, I think I’ll go cut up some doors now and make me a bed!

  8. Karen says:

  9. Shaunna says:

Thanks so much, Jami!! You’re so sweet to feature my bathroom! Ha! You crack me up…that bed is in the writing room (which like Fancy Nancy, I named in order to fancy up “my office.) MUA HA HA. :) So the writing room bath…is really just a bath. But don’t you like the ring behind it? :) Thanks for a good laugh and the kind recognition! -shaunna :)

  10. That is lovely! I do like the title, seems very exclusive and inspiring!

  11. I am a big fan of Perfectly Imperfect! When I saw this bathroom I wanted to grab a sledge hammer and start demolishing my bathroom. She has done a beautiful job with this space…and I wish it was mine!

  12. Megan says:

ok- this has nothing to do with this post and everything to do with your faux zinc paint treatment…

I think I am going to try doing it on my bathroom vanity! We dont have the $$ to tear it out and replace it. And its god-awful ugly honey oak colored. I am painting my master bedroom a fabulous grey and the vanity needs to look NOT honey oak… what do you think? too hard or can it be done?

  13. Graciela Sosa says:
